FREE UMPIRING COURSES

Cricket Scotland National Kwik Cricket Finals day, supported by Network Rail, took place on Wednesday (17th June) as part of Cricket Scotland's National Finals week, when 16 teams from around Scotland, from Nairn to Hawick, gathered at Dooícot Park, Perth. The Cricket Scotland National Finals week is a culmination of competitions for primary and secondary boys and girls, following a series of local and regional competitions held throughout the year. The newly set up Cricket Scotland Match Officials Association has announced details of 2021 training courses for Umpires.

Due to current travel and meeting restrictions these courses will be accessed via virtual learning.

CSMOA have two options available; an online ECB ACO accredited course, or a Zoom meeting facilitated by accredited tutors. Both courses being the equivalent to the Stage 1 ECB ACO qualification.

For the first time CSMOA are also offering a female only Zoom course being led by an accredited female tutor, Ingeborg Bevers.

It is essential to  pre-register for either options as spaces will be limited. The pre-registration link being http://bit.ly/3uBKSw9 

For the online course, CSMOA will provide a link after registration, and this can be completed at your own pace. For the Zoom courses CSMOA will provide joining instructions, the dates being;

·        Thursday 25th March @ 19.00 hrs

·        Thursday 1st April @ 19.00 hrs

·        Thursday 8th April @ 19.00 hrs
