Bons Capitulate to Chetan’s Class

6 for 27 from Chetan Aggarwal helped Master Blasters defeat Bon Accord

There’s no change at the top of Grade 1 as Crescent and Knightriders maintained their 100% records.  Knightriders were indebted to a Vijay Vijapur masterclass against Gordonians with 30 not out and 3 for 17 to help the Knights chase down Gordos below par total of 90 with 6 wickets to spare.

Master Blasters recovered for 15 for 6 to post 97 against Bon Accord.  Jay Gajjar making 40 of them.  In reply Chetan Aggarwal dismissed Fazel Awan, Nawaz Mirza and Ravi Addala for 1 run between then and despite Shakeel Ahmed making 35 Aggarwal finished with 6 for 27 as the Bons were bowled out for 88.

A half century from Mahesh Patel and a plethora of wides took Gordos to 149 for 6 at the start of the last over. 3 balls left and the scores were tied, but Fraser Grant held his nerve, as did his fielders, as Gordos went run out, run out, caught to leave the game tied.

2nd Gordonians had a convincing 7 wicket win at Stonehaven.  Stonehaven made 109 all out and young Tanish Kirodan made 69 not out. Huntly made 106 all out at Dunecht and despite 46 from Matt Witz his team were bowled out for 73 with Emily Henderson taking 5 for 4 for Huntly.
